Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity serving students at a Day School Program for the Deaf, where your fluency in American Sign Language and passion for speech-language pathology will make an impact. This full-time contract position spans from August 2026 through May 2027, providing consistent hours and a meaningful caseload. You'll collaborate with a dynamic educational team, helping students from PreK-3 through 12th grade achieve better communication and academic success. You'll serve approximately 60 students across a range of ages and developmental stages, supporting their growth at multiple campuses. What we're seeking: Active state license and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC or CFY considered) Experience or comfort working within school settings Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required Understanding and commitment to serving students with varying degrees of hearing loss Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills Responsibilities will include: Delivering direct and consultative speech-language services to students, adapted for Deaf and hard of hearing populations Conducting assessments, goal development, and individualized education program (IEP) planning Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, interpreters, and families to support instructional access and progress Providing services at three campuses, ensuring students' needs are met consistently Maintaining thorough records and progress documentation Engaging in ongoing professional development related to both speech-language pathology and Deaf education This assignment offers the unique professional growth that comes with serving a specialized caseload in a supportive environment, with regular school hours and weekends free.
