Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders in patients of all ages. Develop and implement personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations. Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication skills. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and effective communication strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and clinical notes within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care plans and share insights on therapy progress. Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices, physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology to enhance service quality. Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing virtual platforms to expand access to services for remote or underserved populations. Skills Proven experience working with children in pediatric speech therapy settings, including early intervention programs and schools. Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, including comprehensive evaluations and treatment plan implementation. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse age groups. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and develop targeted therapy interventions accordingly. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in speech-language pathology environments. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Working knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language disorders and physiology relevant to communication impairments. Telehealth experience is highly desirable, demonstrating capability to deliver effective remote therapy sessions. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration, patient education, and team coordination. Knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiological processes involved in communication functions is essential for effective therapy planning.
