What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

$48-$55/hour At Sabine Heights, we're looking for a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our therapy team and provide focused, individualized care to our residents. In this role, you'll evaluate and treat residents with swallowing, cognitive, and communication needs. Your clinical recommendations will directly support resident safety, function, and progress while working alongside nursing and the interdisciplinary team. This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for flexibility without sacrificing the ability to be part of a consistent team and familiar environment.What you can expect:
PRN flexibility based on your availability The ability to pick up shifts without a fixed schedule A consistent therapy and nursing team to collaborate with The opportunity to work independently while still having support from the team What you will be doing: Evaluate and treat residents for swallowing, cognitive, and communication needs Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals Provide recommendations to support safe swallowing and overall function Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment as needed Collaborate with nursing and the interdisciplinary team Complete documentation accurately and timely What we are looking for: Current Texas Speech Language Pathologist license Experience with dysphagia and cognitive treatment preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and follow-through Ability to work independently and collaborate with the care team Learn more about us: www.sabineheights.com We are proud to be an EOE.Pay:
