Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN, where you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for Pediatric patients. Your expertise will help improve communication abilities and quality of life for individuals with speech impairments, ensuring they receive personalized, evidence-based care. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric patients to identify communication needs and develop tailored therapy plans. Implement speech-language therapy interventions utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote optimal communication outcomes. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare teams to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and support systems. Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), maintaining detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and techniques to support ongoing progress at home or in school environments. Stay current with advances in speech-language pathology by participating in continuing education opportunities related to pediatrics, geriatrics, and disabilities. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early intervention programs or school settings; familiarity with pediatric speech therapy techniques. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Proven ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments for diverse populations including those with disabilities or speech impairments. Skilled in developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans aligned with best practices for pediatrics and geriatrics. Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams across healthcare or educational environments. Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation; understanding of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Experience delivering telehealth services effectively while engaging patients remotely; adaptable to various technological platforms. Knowledge of early intervention principles and experience working with pediatric populations from infancy through school age.
