Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert speech and language therapy services to geriatric patients. Your expertise will help individuals improve their communication skills, enhance their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers the opportunity to work in skilled nursing facilities. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for patient care, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for patients in skilled nursing facilities. Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals. Implement therapy techniques to improve speech production, language comprehension, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication skills Collaborate closely with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment approaches Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records Educate patients and their families on strategies for ongoing communication improvement and support Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Proven ability to work with individuals with speech impairments, language delays, or disabilities across adult geriatric populations. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing effective treatment plans Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers, and families Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care Join us in making a meaningful difference by helping individuals communicate confidently!
