Description Helen Farabee Centers' ECI Program, as the designated provider of Early Childhood Intervention Services operates in compliance with contract requirements specified by Texas Health/Human Services-ECI Division and rules established in 26 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Part 1, Chapter 350. Under the direction of the ECI Program Director and management of the ECI Clinical Supervisor, the Speech/Language Pathologist has the necessary authority to evaluate, plan and provide services to eligible individuals of the ECI Program in home and community settings within a 10-county area. Travel to designated counties is required, as is flexibility in scheduling. Telehealth practices may be employed as a strategy for service provision. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identify language disorders in children, such as atypical or scattered language skills; moderate to severe oral-motor / feeding issues; cleft palate; or serious articulation/speech disorders. Provide services for the habilitation, rehabilitation or prevention of communicative or oral-motor/feeding disorders or delays in development of communication skills. Provide services to address the functional needs of children with speech-language delays. Design services to improve the child's ability to perform tasks in home, daycare, and community settings. Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of each child's Individual Family Service Plan. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all services provided to children and their families. contractual obligations for monthly average delivered service hours per child and average children served per month. HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All jobs include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position. Reassignment is a condition of employment that may occur at the employer's discretion. Work location and hours could change based on program needs Qualifications Education, Training, and Experience Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology (or grandfathered with Bachelor's Degree) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology. Eligibility for and completion of said certificate is expected within one year of hire, if such certificate not yet acquired. Current licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
