Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in a young child's life by providing essential Occupational Therapy (OT) services in a supportive school setting near Wylie, TX. This contract position focuses on serving one bright PreK student (4 years old), delivering impactful early intervention as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP). This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about fostering development and growth in early learners and are looking for a concise, focused commitment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid SLP license and CCC certification required Prior experience working within a school-based environment is highly valued Experience with Early Intervention or PreK-aged children preferred Familiarity with IEPs and documentation processes Commitment to empathy, patience, and effective communication with both students and school staff
Responsibilities:
Provide direct Occupational Therapy services as outlined in the student's IEP Devote 4 hours per week to targeted intervention for a PreK (4-year-old) student Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff to optimize learning outcomes Develop individualized strategies to support motor, sensory, and functional skills Maintain thorough documentation reflecting student progress and therapeutic interventions Enjoy the satisfaction of working closely with a single student, allowing for a focused and rewarding therapeutic relationship.
