Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students across various age groups within the school setting. Your expertise will help children overcome communication challenges, enhance their social interactions, and succeed academically. Duties Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs and develop individualized therapy plans. Implement evidence-based speech-language therapy techniques tailored to each student's unique requirements, including early intervention strategies for younger children. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines. Provide direct therapy sessions to students with speech impairments, language delays, or related disabilities, utilizing telehealth options when appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessments using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Educate and support parents and caregivers on strategies to reinforce communication skills at home. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans for students with complex needs, including those with disabilities or requiring specialized interventions. Qualifications Valid state licensure (Utah) as a Speech-Language Pathologist with specialization in pediatrics. Proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, including school experience preferred. Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language development, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop effective treatment plans. Experience working with individuals with speech impairments, disabilities, or developmental delays; familiarity with early intervention programs highly desirable. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Excellent collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and families. Telehealth therapy experience is a plus; ability to adapt therapy methods for virtual delivery is highly valued. Knowledge of working with pediatric populations as well as geriatric patients is advantageous for supporting diverse student needs.
