Job Description

This contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a supportive school environment near Alexandria, VA offers a rewarding way to utilize your training while collaborating with educators and families.
What's Needed For Success:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Valid and current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though strong CFs considered Prior experience working with children or adolescents, especially in school settings Understanding of IEP process and relevant documentation Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, to address students' needs Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress Monitor, document, and report student progress toward outlined goals Consult regularly with school teams to ensure coordinated care Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology Not only will you experience the satisfaction of seeing students reach new milestones, but you'll also enjoy a professionally stimulating setting committed to staff collaboration and growth.
