Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting students with speech and language needs near Alexandria, VA. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) contractor, you will collaborate with fellow educators and families to make a lasting impact on student success throughout the academic year.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Core Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations based on evaluation results Educate and guide teachers, staff, and family members on strategies that support student development Adapt techniques and interventions to support diverse student learning styles and abilities
