Speech and Language Pathologist - Schools

Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices in pediatrics and early intervention Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions that promote functional communication skills across academic and social contexts Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines Monitor progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to ensure optimal outcomes Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with school policies and medical terminology standards Provide guidance on physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production and swallowing functions for students with complex needs Experience Prior experience working within school environments or educational settings is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in pediatric speech therapy across diverse student populations Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology Proven ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective intervention strategies for early intervention programs Strong understanding of patient care principles tailored to children with communication challenges Familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration involving educators, healthcare providers, and families Commitment to ongoing professional development in pediatrics, speech therapy techniques, and related fields

Pay:

$35.21 - $42.40 per hour
