School Speech and Language Pathologist | Chesapeake, Virginia Soliant - 3.9 Chesapeake, VA Job Details Full-time | Contract 5 days ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to support students throughout the 26/27 school year in Chesapeake, VA. The role is based within a school setting, providing targeted speech and language services to help students improve communication skills and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting interventions as necessary Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and educational planning Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing speech-language services in schools
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working in a school environment preferred Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapy techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Ability to manage caseload and maintain detailed documentation efficiently
