Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Colonial Beach, VA. Whether you're an experienced SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or new to the school environment, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to help children achieve their communication and learning goals. This contract position is available for either full-time or part-time schedules, with regular hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $55 per hour, depending on your education and experience, and is paid weekly.
What You'll Need:
Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license (VA SLP License) Experience in schools, pediatrics, healthcare, or pediatric-focused SLP settings is highly valued SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials Commitment to supporting school-aged children with diverse communication needs Strong communication, collaborative, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic evaluations and therapy services for students with a range of speech, language, and communication challenges Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams Document progress and maintain compliance with reporting and school guidelines Deliver therapy sessions individually and in groups, both direct and consultative Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to team planning
