Speech and Language Pathologist - Colonial Beach, VA

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This full-time, in-person position for the 2026-2027 school year offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services to elementary-aged students in Colonial Beach, VA. The focus is on supporting the communication development of young learners through direct therapy, evaluation, and collaborative educational planning.

Key responsibilities include:

Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) in partnership with educators, parents, and support personnel Delivering direct therapy services and providing classroom support as needed Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines Participating actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Ideal candidates will possess: A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology A valid Virginia SLP license, or eligibility to obtain licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred This position offers a manageable caseload focused on elementary students within a supportive educational setting.
