Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of students by supporting their communication and language development in a dynamic school-based environment near Fairfax, VA. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and foster growth in students of varying ages and abilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience working in schools or pediatric environments is highly desired Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation standards Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying areas of need and recommending appropriate interventions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support integrated classroom strategies Document student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal-setting and progress evaluations Provide consultation and support to families and caregivers regarding students' communication needs This position offers an opportunity to inspire students and help them reach their fullest potential within a supportive educational setting.
