Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a rewarding contract assignment near Fairfax, VA. This role offers you the opportunity to support students' communication needs and contribute directly to their academic and social growth.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one Experience working in a school environment, supporting students across grades K-12 Strong assessment, intervention, and collaboration skills Clear communication abilities with students, staff, and families Committed to fostering student development and promoting positive outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a diverse student population Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and parents to provide effective support and strategies Conduct screenings and progress evaluations to monitor and adjust therapy as needed Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements Offer guidance and resources to teachers regarding communication supports and classroom strategies
