Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference each day supporting students' communication and learning by providing high-quality speech-language services in a dynamic school environment. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will guide students in building essential speech, language, and social skills to enhance their academic success and confidence. Qualified candidates bring strong interpersonal skills and a passion for empowering young learners. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' unique needs, making a lasting impact in their educational journey.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and develop IEPs for students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to determine speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups Educate and collaborate with teachers and families to support generalization of skills in classroom and home environments Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reporting This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative school community, within a flexible contract setting that values your expertise.
