Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an exciting opportunity to support elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting near Norfolk, VA. Make a direct impact, fostering communication skills and confidence in young learners through engaging therapy and collaborative teamwork. This full-time, onsite contract role allows you to work closely with supportive staff and an inspiring caseload.
What You Bring:
Valid SLP or SLPA license in Virginia Experience or strong interest in working with elementary school-aged children Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring A commitment to cultivating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment Dedication to collaboration with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students onsite Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in accordance with student needs and IEP goals Administer assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges Document and report student progress, maintaining compliance with local and state guidelines Work closely with teachers and staff to support classroom integration and student success Engage with families, providing education and progress updates
