Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful school contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Richmond, VA area, working with elementary students across a small group of schools during the 2026-2027 school year. This role spans from August 17, 2026, through June 7, 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 2:45 pm. This assignment is perfect for an SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY passionate about making a lasting difference in children's communication and learning. You'll manage an elementary caseload of approximately 40 students, collaborating closely with teachers and families to support student success in a nurturing, school-based setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active state licensure (or eligibility) as SLP in Virginia Current or in-progress Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) School-based experience or strong interest in working within an education environment Familiarity with IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and interdisciplinary communication Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for a diverse elementary caseload Develop and execute individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Provide direct therapy (individual and small group) tailored to student needs across 2-3 campuses Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school professionals for integrated student support Maintain accurate, timely records and prepare necessary reports for special education compliance Offer guidance to staff and families for carryover strategies and ongoing support This contract role provides balanced work hours and the opportunity to positively shape young learners' lives.
