Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students in a vibrant school community near Stafford, VA—just a short drive from the Washington, DC area. This full-time role begins August 3rd, 2026, and runs through May 27th, 2027, covering a 185-day academic year. With 37.5 hours per week, you'll have the chance to work across various age groups and school levels—elementary, middle, and high school placements are available, with final assignments determined closer to your start date. In this role, you'll make a tangible difference by providing direct, onsite SLP services (no virtual or hybrid arrangements) to students of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Virginia SLP license required School-based SLP experience preferred but not mandatory Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including initiating the Virginia Department of Social Services check and TB test immediately Comfortable working across different age levels (elementary, middle, high school)
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct therapy and consultative services as outlined in IEPs Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress Maintain thorough and compliant documentation Adapt to caseload assignments and diverse student needs Compensation for this opportunity is competitive, with rates determined by your level of experience. Those with 0-2 years of experience can expect rates from $49-52 per hour, 3-5 years at $52-55, 6-9 years at $55-58, and 10+ years at $58-61 per hour.
