Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based role where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make a significant difference for students from kindergarten through high school. You'll have the opportunity to provide essential support in academic and functional skills, empowering young learners to reach their fullest potential during the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you'll be responsible for evaluating and addressing the fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and self-regulation needs of students. Utilizing your skills, you'll develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs/504), offer direct and consultative occupational therapy, and work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families. This K-12 caseload ensures broad, impactful clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and deliver occupational therapy interventions to students with varied needs Develop and monitor IEP/504 goals, accommodations, and progress documentation Provide therapy in direct, consultative, and push-in classroom settings Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams and families Adapt environments and recommend assistive technology to encourage student independence Maintain thorough records of intervention and student outcomes
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Licensed (or eligible) Occupational Therapist in the state; NBCOT certification preferred Experience in pediatric or school-based settings is advantageous Familiarity with assistive technology, sensory strategies, and best practices for K-12 populations Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills Enjoy a competitive hourly rate based on your experience, with the bonus of a full-time, school-based schedule that aligns with the academic calendar — including holidays and summer breaks.
