Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students for the full school year as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant community near Woodbridge, VA. Multiple full-time positions are available, including options for single or dual school assignments, allowing you to find the best fit for your interests and strengths. Qualifications & Desired Experience Valid Virginia SLP license or eligibility for licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) also considered Experience in pediatric settings, preferably in schools Knowledge of best practices for therapy with elementary-aged children Strong communication and organizational abilities Commitment to evidence-based interventions Ability to work independently and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers Key Responsibilities Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in elementary grade levels Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech/language needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the school team Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports Offer guidance and support to classroom teachers and families regarding student needs Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Adapt services to both single and two-school assignment structures as required Perks & Advantages This position offers flexibility in assignment locations with opportunities for professional growth and satisfaction as you help children unlock their communication potential throughout the entire school year.
