Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by stepping into an engaging contract opportunity as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. This rewarding position places you front and center in delivering essential speech and language services within a dynamic school setting near Woodbridge, VA. Collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals, while developing professionally in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure (or the ability to obtain licensure before start) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are welcome Previous experience in a school setting is an advantage Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills Ability to develop IEPs and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Adaptable and organized, with a passion for helping diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide screenings, evaluations, and therapeutic interventions for speech, language, and communication disorders Create individualized treatment plans and support the achievement of IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress Document services, maintain accurate records, and contribute to student progress reports Consult with educators to integrate speech-language strategies within the classroom Participate in professional development and school-related meetings as needed
