Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication impairments and develop tailored therapy plans. Implement evidence-based speech-language therapy interventions for pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-aged children. Provide therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care. Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient progress and ensure cohesive treatment strategies. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy techniques to optimize outcomes and meet individual needs. Educate patients and families on speech development, language strategies, and exercises to reinforce progress at home or in educational settings. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance records within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience working with children in pediatrics, early intervention programs, or school environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, anatomy, physiology related to speech production, and medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective speech-language therapy plans for individuals with speech impairments or disabilities. Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with swallowing disorders is a plus. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering remote services effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, healthcare professionals, and patients of all ages.
