Job Description

Are you looking for a new work environment that fully supports you, and your personal life? Arlington Health and Rehabilitation is one of the last privately owned and operated skilled nursing communities around. We are a small facility with a mix of rehab and long term care residents. The employees at AH&R are spectacular, and work together as a team of friends. We are in need of an part-time/per diem SLP to provide excellent therapy to our residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience in acute care or critical care settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload and prioritize patient needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
