This contract assignment offers the chance to support students' communication development, collaborate with education teams, and foster an inclusive, enriching learning environment. Enjoy working a predictable schedule—student in-person days only, for a total of 37.5 hours per week.
Key qualifications and desired background:
Active WA State Department of Health SLP License Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) WA State SLP ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Ability to provide fingerprints and pass WSP and FBI background checks, including a sexual misconduct clearance Valid Washington State Driver's License or other evidence of reliable mobility Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric speech-language setting preferred New SLP graduates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome Primary responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver direct services and consultation to students from diverse backgrounds Document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines Adapt therapy techniques to serve students' varying communication needs This is an in-person, student-centered role that ensures consistent hours and professional growth within a supportive educational environment.
