A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (Washington state) Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) from ASHA Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred Knowledge of IEP creation and implementation Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working with diverse age groups and backgroundsPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to students based on individual plans and assessments Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to design strategies and interventions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines Offer support and education to students families regarding progress and ongoing needs Participate in team meetings and professional development activities This contract position places you within a positive school community near Bremerton, WA, offering the opportunity to boost student growth while enhancing your own professional development.
