Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate school-based Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders..
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills
  • Administer standardized tests and assessments to monitor progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for Individualized Education Plans.
  • Educate students and their families on communication strategies and techniques
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques and research
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech pathology
  • Proficiency in conducting speech therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans
  • Knowledge of IEP process
  • In-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing
  • Experience working in educational setting with pediatrics
  • Excellent student assessment skills to accurately diagnose speech disorders
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
