Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact with your expertise supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the 2026-2027 academic year. These full-time, onsite positions offer the chance to help students thrive in an engaging, supportive school community near Lakewood, WA. Multiple openings are available for high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. As the district transitions from virtual to onsite services, your skills and personal presence will make a real difference.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid Washington SLP license (or eligibility/willingness to obtain prior to start) Required fingerprint clearance through OSPI (or willingness to complete this process) School-based SLP experience strongly preferred Excellent communication, rapport-building, and organizational skills Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusive student support

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments and interventions for K-12 students Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs and goals Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to foster student progress Document services and progress per school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and school-wide professional development Educate staff and families on communication disorders and strategies Maintain ethical standards and uphold confidentiality for all students This contract opportunity is for 37.5 hours per week, beginning September 9, 2026, and concluding June 16, 2027.
