Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing expert speech and language therapy services in a supportive educational environment near Renton, WA. This role is ideal for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists seeking hands-on experience with a diverse student population and collaboration with dedicated educational professionals. You'll work closely with students, teachers, and families to support communication goals and promote academic success. Whether you're a Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidate ready to begin your professional journey or an experienced SLP with your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), your skills will be valued as you contribute to student growth and progress.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current Washington State SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly desired; Clinical Fellowship Year candidates encouraged to apply Experience in school settings, pediatrics, or healthcare environments preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students Deliver therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to address student goals Maintain accurate records and progress reports as required by district policies Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning This contract position offers a rewarding balance of challenge and support, with the flexibility to adapt your expertise to the unique needs of each student.
