Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication skills in a school-based setting near Renton, WA. This contract position offers two openings with a start date of September 2, 2026, and will continue through June 17, 2027. Enjoy a full-time schedule averaging 37.5 hours a week (not to exceed 40), typically beginning at 8:00 a.m., with end times around 3:30 p.m.—exact hours may vary to accommodate school assignments and meetings. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, and your preferences regarding age group and population will be thoughtfully considered.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid state license or eligibility as a Speech Language Pathologist Prior experience in school settings is highly valued Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to build rapport with both students and educational staff Collaborative approach to multidisciplinary team work Skilled in IEP development, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with diverse speech and language needs Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services as outlined in IEPs Work closely with teachers, families, and team members for student support Track student progress and adjust goals as required Participate in meetings related to student care, eligibility, and progress (daily schedules may shift to accommodate these) Engage in professional development and school initiatives This role allows you to make a tangible difference while advancing your career as part of a supportive educational environment.
