Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave this fall. This assignment runs from September through the end of November, with consistent weekday hours (7:45 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday), allowing you to make a direct impact while maintaining a predictable schedule. Located within a friendly and welcoming school environment near Mukwonago, WI, this role is ideal for those passionate about helping young learners develop their communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist Previous experience supporting elementary-age students in a school setting Familiarity with the assessment, goal planning, and documentation process for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, teachers, and support staff Strong organizational abilities for balancing caseload management and reporting Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student and foster a nurturing environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students Assess, diagnose, and write reports related to speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough and timely documentation aligned with school and state requirements This position provides the chance to offer continuity of care to students while their regular SLP is on leave.
