Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role providing vital speech-language pathology services in an engaging elementary school environment. This is a maternity leave coverage opportunity, running from September through the end of November. The consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, offers a structured yet dynamic setting, ideal for professionals who thrive working with young students and collaborating with a supportive educational team.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid and current SLP state licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered Previous school-based or pediatric experience highly desirable Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs Deliver direct and indirect therapy services, targeting communication, fluency, articulation, and language disorders Document progress, maintain compliance with school and state requirements, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student outcomes Provide resources and consultation for staff on speech and language development strategies This contract assignment offers the chance to make a significant impact during a pivotal time for students, while allowing you to refine your clinical skills in a school setting.
