Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time, in-person Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Located a short distance from Berkeley Springs, WV, this contract position focuses on supporting students through high-quality, hands-on therapy—no virtual assignments. With a focus on continuity and an entire academic year to make a significant impact, you'll be helping to shape communicative, academic, and social development in children and young adults.
Desired Background and Experience:
Hold a valid SLP license; CCC preferred, but strong CFY candidates encouraged to apply Experience in school-based and pediatric settings is highly valued Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary school teams and communicate effectively with educators and families Skilled in conducting assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) Experience or willingness to support SLPA staff in school settings
Major Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs across the school year Evaluate, plan, and implement effective interventions to facilitate communication skills essential for student success Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and develop detailed reports Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to monitor progress and make informed decisions about student care Document and maintain meticulous records of student services and outcomes Serve as a key advocate, educating staff and parents on communication strategies to support student growth Step out from behind the screen and into a dynamic school environment where your expertise is valued every day.
