Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift Pay Grade 184 Job Description The Team Leader of Rehab supports the overall Mission and Vision of Valley Health by providing the highest quality and best-practice service to its customers. The Team Leader role is primarily patient care with administrative duties which support the Rehab Director/Clinical Manager. Team Leader responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Day to day scheduling and operations
- Elevating concerns as appropriate
- Contributes to employee performance evaluations
- Demonstrate fiduciary responsibility
- Productivity management
- Staffing management
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Onboarding new employees The Team Leader manages up departmental goals, objectives and practices.
As a clinician, the Team Leader is an active member of the interdisciplinary team, is responsive to physician referrals, determines the skilled and medically necessary needs of the patient and provides discipline specific interventions to improve the safety and functional independence of its clients through the rehab process. Education Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, or Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, or Master's degree and CCC (or CFY eligible) in Speech/Language Pathology. Experience Minimum of three years clinical experience in discipline. Certification & Licensure Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice as a Physical, Speech or Occupational Therapist required. BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved is required.
- New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Qualifications Basic computer and keyboarding skills or participation in computer training within the first year of employment. Competent to successfully interact with patients, according to their special needs which may apply based upon the age of the patient served - Age Specific Competencies. Learning and exhibiting consistent proficiency for entry level, setting defined, basic competency in the provision of discipline specific interventions.
