A Speech Language Pathology Assistant assists licensed speech language pathologists in treating people with speech and language or other communication disorders or swallowing disorders. Assists with screening and helps patients with therapy activities. Works with adults or children and helps to treat a variety of speech disorders or communication problems created by stroke or injury.
We're seeking a dedicated School‑Based Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across a K-12 public school environment in Anchorage, Alaska. This full‑time onsite role spans the entire 2026-2027 school year and involves working closely with a supervising SLP, educators, related service providers, and families to help students access communication supports and participate fully in school routines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide speech‑language support services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Support students with articulation, language, fluency, and social‑communication needs Prepare materials, assist with therapy activities, and collect data for progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school teams Document services and maintain compliance with district and state requirements Assist with screenings and support the supervising SLP in evaluation processes Contribute to classroom accommodations and communication‑support strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
