Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' communication skills as a School-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time position offers a dynamic workweek of 37.5 hours, working onsite with students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade in a vibrant educational setting near Bakersfield, CA. Desired Qualifications:
Current SLPA license in California Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally within the last few years Familiarity with speech and language intervention strategies for children in grades TK-8 Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to follow therapy plans and take direction from supervising Speech-Language Pathologists Strong organizational skills and adaptability within a school environment
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language services to student caseload under the supervision of an SLP Support development and implementation of individualized therapy goals Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members Assist in preparing therapy materials and adapting activities to diverse learning needs Participate fully in the onsite school community to foster positive student engagement Enjoy a position that allows you to witness students' growth firsthand within a supportive and collaborative educational community.
