Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Hayward, CA, serving a K-12 district. This contract position offers 32 hours per week and is ideal for candidates ready to start as soon as possible through the end of the school year (EOSY), with options for extended school year (ESY) work. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in providing speech and language therapy to K-12 students. Implement individualized treatment plans to support students with speech, language, and communication needs. Accurately document student progress and maintain relevant records. Collaborate with educators and therapists to support student success. Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with families.Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) with experience or education related to school settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a caseload under supervision, adapting therapy techniques as needed. Comfort working with children across various grade levels.
