Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in students' lives as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract role is an exciting itinerant position, offering the chance to work in diverse school settings and support a variety of learners near Los Molinos, CA. As an SLPA, your expertise will help foster communication skills that are essential for academic and social success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current California SLPA licensure Experience in a school-based setting preferred Ability to travel between multiple school sites (itinerant) Strong collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, and families Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude Effective communicator, both verbal and written Organized with excellent time management Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist Implement therapy plans, activities, and materials to help students achieve their communication goals Observe and document student progress, maintaining accurate records Partner with classroom teachers and special education teams Assist in screenings and assessments as needed Support students one-on-one, in small groups, or within classroom settings Adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs Foster a positive, encouraging environment for all learners
