Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will support the coordination of evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities of speech therapy to ensure effective and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapeutic interventions that improve clients' communication abilities. Assist in implementing treatment plans for clients with speech and language disorders. Conduct speech and language screenings as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Document the client's progress toward treatment goals and report this information to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Provide direct therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Prepare therapy materials and maintain equipment and supplies. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as set out by the state licensing board and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant/Communicative Disorders or a related field. 1 year of verifiable professional experience as an SLPA within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum). Valid California License as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant granted by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. Preferred Experience Experience working with pediatric populations, school-based settings, or early intervention. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
