In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to a diverse range of clients, including children and adolescents. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster meaningful progress in communication skills, especially within pediatric and school settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients across various settings such as schools, clinics, or hospitals. Support therapy sessions focused on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions for pediatric and school-aged populations. Prepare therapy materials, equipment, and environment to ensure engaging and effective sessions. Monitor client progress during therapy activities and document observations accurately for review by supervising clinicians. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to support the client's communication goals and IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements. Maintain a safe and supportive environment that encourages active participation from children working through early intervention or pediatric speech therapy programs. Follow all medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Experience in pediatrics or early intervention programs is advantageous. Familiarity with school environments and understanding of IEP processes will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy, physiology, and anatomy is essential for accurate documentation and collaboration.
