Category Therapy - Skilled - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by providing essential communication support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis in a local school setting near Turlock, CA. Your expertise will help students achieve their potential and foster their communication skills in a supportive educational environment. This role also offers the potential for contract renewals, providing stability and continuity as you develop professional relationships with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLPA licensure or certification required Experience in school-based settings preferred Strong knowledge of therapy techniques and documentation protocols for children and adolescents Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to changing needs in a dynamic school environment Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
Responsibilities:
Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists with direct and indirect therapy services for students Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans as guided by supervising SLP Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and assist in evaluation processes Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success and consistency of care Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages communication development Participate in school meetings and contribute to IEP teams as needed In this rewarding contract position, you'll enjoy the variety that comes with working in a dynamic school environment while building meaningful connections with students and professionals alike.
