Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school setting located in Putnam, CT. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential therapeutic interventions that help students improve their communication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans. Conduct therapeutic activities under supervision to support students with speech, language, and communication challenges. Document student progress and maintain accurate records following school guidelines. Collaborate with educators, parents, and therapists to ensure continuity of care. Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and treatment adjustments.Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification. Experience working within a school environment is highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff. Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and adapt to student needs.
