Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by supporting their communication development as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) across multiple elementary and middle school campuses. This on-site contract position offers both part-time (7.5-22.5 hours weekly) and potential for full-time hours (up to 37.5 hours weekly if supervision is available). You'll collaborate with educators, students, and licensed SLPs to deliver meaningful interventions, ensuring every child has the tools to succeed academically and socially.
Key Experience & Licensure Requirements:
Active FL Department of Health SLPA license required Prior experience with school-based pediatric caseloads is desirable Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads of 50-55 students ranging from elementary to middle school Willingness to work across multiple campuses within the district, combining assignments to maximize hours Familiarity with IEP implementation, data collection, and therapy documentation Successful completion of Florida school credentialing, including fingerprinting and acquisition or transfer of a JLA badge
