Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting speech therapy services across diverse settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to individual needs of children and students. Support speech therapy interventions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, voice, fluency, and social communication skills. Prepare therapy materials, set up equipment, and maintain a clean and safe therapy environment. Observe and document client progress, providing detailed reports to supervising clinicians. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency in therapy goals across environments. Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans, progress updates, and next steps for each client. Experience Prior experience working with children or students in pediatric or educational settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech therapy is essential. Experience with acute care environments or school-based programs enhances your ability to adapt to diverse client needs. Familiarity with early intervention services and the IEP process is advantageous. Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques related to pediatrics and working with students across various developmental stages. Excellent communication skills combined with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping others improve their communication abilities.
