Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students across multiple sites near Jacksonville, FL, as a contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC). This itinerant role offers the opportunity to support Pre-K through 12th grade students across a variety of settings, working closely with staff, families, and students to advance communication and language skills. Your work will help shape educational experiences and foster student growth from August 2026 through May 2027.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Holds current Florida Department of Health SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required School-based experience with Pre-K to 12th grade preferred Fingerprinting completion per Florida school district requirements (help provided for verification or renewal as needed) Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites as needs dictate Able to manage an estimated caseload of 60 students with mild to moderate support needs Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across assigned schools Complete evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state/district requirements Consult regularly with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Offer training and resources to staff and family members to reinforce communication strategies Provide therapy individually or in small groups, adapting interventions for a diverse student population Monitor and document progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
