K Therapy-New Kissimmee/Poinciana Clinic:
We're seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. In this role, you work under a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) to treat patients with speech-language delays/disorders. Experience with pediatrics or geriatrics, early childhood intervention, adults, and behavior analysis, or human development is beneficial. You will work closely with patients and must accurately document their current condition and progress.
Speech Pathologist Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
  • Performing screenings to detect speech-language disorders.
  • Keeping detailed records relating to patient therapies and progress.
  • Maintain files of patient information.
  • Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties.
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Communicative Disorders from an accredited college.
  • Valid SLP-A license from the Florida Department of Health.
  • Experience working with ages 1 to 21 years old or Adults.
  • Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
  • Excellent coaching, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software. Benefits

  • $38•42/hour•Compensation is based on 60 and 30 minute therapy sessions with an hourly split.
