Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting speech therapy services across diverse settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists, helping children and students improve their communication skills. You will be instrumental in delivering targeted interventions, assisting with assessments, and supporting early intervention programs to foster meaningful progress in clients' speech, language, and swallowing functions. Duties Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals and IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under supervision, documenting observations accurately Support therapy sessions for children and students in various environments such as schools, clinics, or pediatric settings Help facilitate early intervention programs by engaging with children in developmental activities designed to enhance communication skills Prepare therapy materials and assist in modifying activities to meet individual client needs Monitor client progress during sessions, providing feedback to the supervising clinician for ongoing treatment adjustments Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and medical documentation using appropriate medical terminology and anatomy knowledge Experience Prior experience working with children or students in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred Experience in pediatrics or early intervention programs is a strong plus Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and physiology related to speech and swallowing functions is advantageous Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to speech-language pathology enhances effectiveness in this role Previous exposure to acute care environments or school-based settings will support successful integration into our team Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on pediatric care and development This paid position is designed for motivated individuals passionate about making a difference in children's lives through speech therapy support.
