MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP Help children develop functional language, communication, and social communication skills Monitor and document patient progress Provide caregiver education and support as directed Collaborate with supervising SLPs, caregivers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team Communicate patient progress and treatment observations to the supervising SLP Assist with ongoing treatment planning and reevaluation activities as permitted within the SLPA scope of practice

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders or a related qualifying field Current Florida SLPA License Level II fingerprinting/background clearance Valid Driver's License Professional Liability Insurance Pediatric experience preferred Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent teamwork and organizational skills Genuine passion for helping children communicate, learn, and thrive

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pediatric therapy experience (at least 1 years) required for community based setting Ability to assist patients in acquiring communication skills AAC experience (preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
