Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging, school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students ranging from preschoolers to young adults. This full-time, onsite contract position runs from August 19, 2026, to June 1, 2027, offering 35 hours per week with an in-person focus near Chicago, IL. Be part of a collaborative educational environment making a meaningful difference in student communication and language development.
Ideal candidates will have:
A valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license Active Professional Educator License (PEL) Experience or strong interest in working with students ages 3 to 21 Commitment to in-person, full-time onsite work Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse teams Excellent communication and documentation abilities Duties include: Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans Supporting students' progress toward communication goals Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff Consulting with teachers, families, and support staff to foster communication skills in classroom settings Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with school policies Providing services across various grade levels as assigned by school needs This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your expertise, develop meaningful relationships with students, and contribute to a positive school community.
